Flight Time: Episode 2 of 4

I came up with a number today, be proud.

I'm going to have to ask some people about episode 3 because I really don't remember much about the actual places in that one.

-----

Switzerland

I'm using pictures to remember most of this trip and a lot of the pictures related to Switzerland are of Kinder Eggs (These amazing candies that have toys inside them) and snow. There are a few quotes from Mount Pilatus in Luzern that are easily remembered though.

There is a gondola ride that takes you up from the city to the mountain, where you can wander around and get lost among the almost glaciers that just hang out all year around. On the way up the scenery slowly changes from grassy farmland to desolate always snowing mountain, and while we were going up one of the girls on our trip saw sheep, but forgot the name, " Look, look! its, they're baa's!"

Outside of the random adventures in the mountains Switzerland has some of the best food known to man along with some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. In terms of food, that Pannini to the bottom was some of the best food I've had in a long time along with a few other things that I don't have pictures for.

Flight Time: Episode 1 of (I really don't have a number right now)

So I attempted to make a new blog today, only to realize that I already have one.
So I took off a few posts, left the one I thought was funny and decided to start again. The next however many posts will cover trips that I remember that are worth talking about (Hawaii, Brazil, Scotland, FranceAustriaGermanyeverythingelse).

--

Five countries in nine days.
Four flights in one day.
And you thought going to school and doing all your homework and sleeping in twenty-four hours was bad.
This trip spanned basically a week with my sister, my creative writing teacher and a few students from the high school and other schools in the area, in March of 2008

France

As much as soooo many people loooooove France. I really don't.
The countryside is really pretty but there is nothing really interesting about Paris, all things considered.
We had some bizarre carrots, great fries, lost luggage, and dark nights. France is only the first stop and people are already losing it. We have ten minutes of secret footage from the restaurant we went to on the first day in France, thanks to some secret staircases and plants that can hold up digital cameras.

We got lost in the city, of course.
Our guide left us downtown and told us, " Don't worry, just go from train A to train Z and don't get on train L in between" And even though the Elfie Tower is like... the north star of Architecture, it doesn't help you find your way back home to the hotel on the other side of the city.

Day two of France we drove out to Fontonbleu, which, was not a disappointment. We found peacocks and saw all the rooms in the Fontonbleu but sadly you can't take pictures of any of these things. After coming back we discovered yet again, that just because Elfie North Star is everywhere, it still won't help you get anywhere but further lost into the abyss.

The next day we roused ourselves out of bed to drive to our next stop in Switzerland.

You can never have enough music

Its only two months into 2009 and I already have done one contest and have at least three more coming up.

Yesterday I preformed Brahm's second sonata Op. 120 No.2, first movement and got a two (two is almost perfect, the scores here rank from 1-5, one being the best and five being the worst) which isn't horrible. Our clarinet quartet got a one (I can't remember the name of the quartet for the life of me) which means we're moving onto the state level in Austin at the end of May.

In April I have a violin contest ( Its a Vivaldi piece, thats all I remember), and a full band contest (we play a technical piece, a slow/pretty piece, and a march, competing on the same scale as before)

And then we're headed to Orlando Florida in May to preform at Epcot among other parks for about a week.

You can never be too busy with music.. now I have to get back to my Huckleberry Finn essay, aah AP English how I loath you so.
